This Privacy Policy explains how the Twitter / X Bulk Downloader Chrome extension
and its companion dashboard at xbulkdownloader.com ("the extension", "the Service",
"we", "our") collect, use, store, and share data. It applies to everyone who installs the extension,
whether or not you use the optional Sync feature described below.
1. Information We Collect
The extension can operate in two modes, and what is collected depends on which you use:
Local export (default)
Sync to server (optional)
Tweet content already visible to you is captured as an image and packaged into a ZIP that is
saved directly to your device. This data is not sent to our servers.
If you turn on Sync, the screenshots the extension generates — and the X (Twitter) username
associated with them — are uploaded to our server so you can view, organize, download, and delete
them later from the xbulkdownloader.com dashboard.
When Sync is enabled, we collect and store:
Tweet screenshots — images of tweets you chose to capture, which may contain
any text, images, usernames, handles, or other content that was visible in the tweet, including
content the tweet's author posted about themselves or others.
X (Twitter) username — used as the identifier that ties your synced screenshots
to your dashboard; we do not collect your X password or authenticate on your behalf.
Organizational metadata — folders, tags, and "loved"/favorited markers you
create in the dashboard to organize your screenshots.
Sync logs — timestamps and status records of each sync/upload so the dashboard
can show progress and history.
We do not collect your name, email address, payment information, or X account
credentials, and we do not access your browsing history outside twitter.com/x.com.
Important: Screenshots may include personal information about you or third parties
that was visible in the captured tweet (e.g., a name, photo, or handle). Only sync tweets you are
comfortable storing on our servers, and do not use this feature to collect data about others in
violation of X's Terms of Service or applicable law.
2. How We Use This Information
To generate and let you download local image, ZIP, or CSV/Excel exports of tweet content.
To store synced screenshots on our server and display them back to you in the xbulkdownloader.com
dashboard so you can view, search, organize, download, or delete them.
To maintain sync status, pagination, and history within the dashboard.
To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
We do not use synced screenshots or usernames for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated
to providing the export/sync feature you requested.
3. How We Store and Share Data
Where it's stored: Synced screenshots and related metadata are stored in our
database, hosted on our servers.
Who can access it: You can access your own synced screenshots via the
xbulkdownloader.com dashboard using your X username. We do not sell, rent, or share your synced
screenshots, username, or dashboard data with advertisers or other third parties.
Service providers: We use our hosting provider solely to store and serve this
data on our behalf; they do not use it for their own purposes.
Legal disclosure: We may disclose data if required by law, legal process, or to
protect the rights, property, or safety of Pushdaddy Software Pvt Ltd, our users, or others.
Retention: Synced screenshots and associated metadata are automatically deleted
365 days after upload. You can delete individual screenshots, folders, or your entire synced history
at any time from the dashboard, which removes them immediately.
4. Local-Only Downloads
Files you export without enabling Sync (images, ZIP archives, or CSV files) are generated in your
browser and saved directly to your device using Chrome's download feature. These files are never
uploaded to our server.
5. Local Storage in the Extension
The extension also uses temporary local browser storage to:
Remember your selected export/sync options (e.g., export format).
Track download or sync progress, and pause/resume state.
This local data stays on your device and is cleared automatically after the export or sync
completes or is cancelled.
6. Permissions
The extension requests only the permissions required for the features above:
activeTab – to access the currently open Twitter/X tab when you start an export or sync
scripting – to capture tweet elements for image export
downloads – to save local exports to your device
storage – to remember your options and track progress locally
Host permissions – limited to twitter.com and x.com, plus xbulkdownloader.com
when the Sync feature uploads or retrieves your data
7. Remote Code & Third Parties
The extension does not load or execute remote code; all scripts and libraries are
bundled within the extension. We do not use third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising
services in the extension or the dashboard.
8. Data Security
Data transmitted between the extension and our server during Sync is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
We restrict access to stored screenshots to what the dashboard needs to display them back to the
matching X username. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee
absolute security.
9. Your Choices & Rights
Sync is optional — you can use the extension for local-only exports without ever uploading data to us.
You can delete any synced screenshot, folder, or tag at any time from the dashboard.
You can request deletion of all data associated with your X username by contacting us at
support@xbulkdownloader.com.
10. Children's Privacy
The extension is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from
children under 13.
11. Changes to This Policy
If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated
"Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after changes take effect constitutes acceptance
of the updated policy.
